The VYL Scouting Philosophy
At VYL, we don't just look for the best player on the pitch today. We look for the player with the highest ceiling for development. This distinction is crucial in youth football.
A child who dominates at U10 purely due to physical advantages may plateau as peers catch up physically. But a technically gifted, tactically aware player with the right mentality will continue to grow and can thrive at the highest levels.
The Five Pillars of VYL Talent Assessment
1. Technical Quality

The Scouting Process
VYL scouts attend every single match in our league and tournament programmes. Each scout uses a proprietary evaluation form that scores players on each of the five pillars above.
Top-rated players are shortlisted for VYL Elite Development Camps – exclusive invitation-only sessions where they receive specialist coaching and further evaluation for our international programmes including the Road to Spain Trials and international tournament squads.
Our Track Record
Since VYL's founding, we have:
- Identified and developed 50+ players who now play for state-level academies
- Sent 12 players to international tournaments representing India
- Placed 2 players (and counting) in European football academy trials
